GDPR Cookies Improvements

In compliance with GDPR, our platform now requires user consent for setting permanent cookies, as outlined in our terms of service which state the use of cookies in our services.

Now, your Customer Success team can enable a special feature for the “GDPR compliant cookies”.

How It Works:

If user hasn’t accepted cookies on shop site, we will show the campaign or will track the purchases without setting cookies.

When viewing campaign user has 2 options:

• signup and accept our terms and we will set cookies.
• do not signup, close popup and we will not set cookies.

Key Changes:

• Session Cookies Prioritized: Talkable will initially use only session cookies, avoiding permanent ones.
• Conversion Upon Consent: After user consent, session cookies will be transformed into permanent cookies.
• No Cookies Without Consent: If a user hasn’t accepted cookies on the shop site, Talkable will:
  • Display campaigns or track purchases without setting cookies.
• Campaign Viewing Options:
  • Users can sign up and accept our terms, leading to cookie setting.
  • If they choose not to sign up and close the popup, we will not set any cookies.
