2 weeks agoWe are proud to introduce a transformative update to referral coupon codes aimed at significantly enhancing fraud prevention for our Shopify clients. Coupon misuse might be a challenge for clients who are concerned about instances of promotional codes being shared unauthorizedly.
To address this, we have developed a robust solution that binds each coupon to a specific email address. This means that a coupon can only be redeemed by the user it is assigned to, drastically cutting down the chances of unauthorized use and fraud.
Campaign Setup Enhancements:
In the Talkable campaign setup, there is now an option to “Require Customer” when creating a new coupon list. This feature is dependent on the activation of Shopify auto-sync for coupons. It is imperative to enable both settings to utilize email-bound coupons effectively.
User Experience:
When a user receives a coupon, Shopify generates a unique code specifically for them. Under the coupon settings, the “Specific customers” option ensures that the coupon is linked directly to the user’s email address, making it redeemable only by the intended recipient at checkout.
This update not only strengthens our Fraud Settings but also preserves the integrity of promotional campaigns, ensuring that discounts reach their rightful recipients while protecting our clients’ revenues.
