With the expansion of Talkable Video to include desktop recording capabilities, the need to differentiate between mobile and desktop recordings has become increasingly pertinent. Initially, as the video referral feature was exclusive to mobile devices, tracking the type of device used for video recordings wasn’t necessary. However, to accommodate and leverage the full potential of our enhanced video referral feature across platforms, we’ve introduced device type tracking and filtering.

New Features:

  • Device Type Tracking: We now capture and save the user agent string of the device used for each video recording. This addition enables us to distinguish between videos recorded on mobile devices and those recorded on desktops.
  • Filtering Capability: Videos can now be filtered based on the device type (mobile or not) within the report and corresponding metrics. This feature allows for more granular analysis and targeting based on the recording device.
  • Detailed Device Insights: The detailed user agent string is accessible in the video details section, providing in-depth information about the device used for recording.
